The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) spent his life by teaching his surrounding people the values of Islam and the law set by Allah Almighty. In his teachings, it was the utmost patience and generosity of the Prophet that showed he is the finest example of human being in the whole world. In educating kids, we need the knowledge and a role-model to emulate. For Muslims, the best example is the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Here are four levels of educating children according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). 👶🏻 0-6 years old 👶🏻Starting from under 6 years old, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) told us to give full love and be fair to every child. Do not punish if they make a mistake even though based on education. The impact is kids will be closer to parents, considered as best friends and guides. Children feel safe in their childhood because they know the parents are always by their side at all time. 🧒🏻 7-14 years old 🧒🏻The second level is 7 to 14 years old. At this point, parents need to begin introduce their children with the importance of discipline and accountability. The beat is not supposed to be a torture, but to be frightened. Do not strike the face because the face is a person's place of honor. As a result, children will be more responsible for any instructions. For parents, this is the best time to shape their children's personality and values according to the Islamic guide. 🧑🏻 15-21 years old 👧🏻
👨🏻 21 years and above 👩🏻Lastly, for the age of 21 years and above, is the time for parents to give their children full faith by giving them responsibility in making their own decisions. Parents only need to follow and guide them, supported by prayer, so that any path they take is right. They might be a disciplined person if they have been well educated at the previous stage. Parents should not get tired of providing advice because according to the research, advices that had been received in 200 times by children will generate positive behavior as desired by parents.
Parents have an important role to play in educating children particularly the father. A father is the most important to keep his family in a harmony life. He must be a disciplined person to educate the children and his wife to be beneficial to others. To make a change, it is must begin with a positive attitude from parents. Besides, be the best of role models for children and never give up on challenges in educating and raising them. Parents should support their children by always inspiring them with a high level of awareness.
